RECOGNITION OF FOREIGN DEGREES AND QUALIFICATIONS SERVICES AND RESSIDENCE VISA ASSISTANCE OFFERED BY THE UNIVERSITY

Before a student is offered a place/admitted at AUE-FON University, a procedure for recognition of foreign degrees and qualifications must be passed. The University can enroll only those applicants whose degree qualifications and diplomas are recognized in Republic of North Macedonia.

Candidates are obliged to submit the necessary documentation for recognition of foreign degrees and qualifications, carried out by the Ministry of education and science of Republic of Macedonia.  The procedure in the Ministry starts with submission of the official documents requested below in original, which the applicant will have translated from English into the Macedonian language. It is necessary that each applicant or the person authorized to submit the documentation on behalf of the applicant, should come to Macedonia and submit the documentation to commence the procedure.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR ENROLLMENT:

  • Original diploma document with Apostille stamp, 
  • Original Diploma Supplement/ transcript (Academic Transcript) and the transcript/s for all years of secondary education,
  • Photocopy of the first page of your passport or other identification documents with applicant’s names in Latin script, date and place of birth.
  • Birth Certificate
  • Certificate of citizenship
  • Certificate for payment for the procedure for nostrification.

However, the University may offer the applicants a service to facilitate and conduct this recognition procedure on behalf of the applicants for a fee. In case someone else is submitting the documents on student’s behalf, please provide a notary certified plenipotentiary containing authorization to the person who is submitting the document or titled to the Enrollment coordinator for international students from the AUE-FON Enrollment Office to undertake all necessary acts in the procedure for recognition, translation, notary certification, applying at the ministry and application to the university for enrolment. Signing of a residence agreement on behalf of the applicant and all acts for application for visa for the applicant.

FOR THIS PROCEDURE, YOU NEED TO COLLECT THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS:

  • Medical certificate, including AIDS test- negative result,
  • Six recent passport-size photos (biometric, 3.5x4.5 cm),
  • Official certificate of no criminal record
  • Warranty of coverage of the costs, certified by a notary (normally this is the parent or other person financing the studies of the applicant stating that he guaranties that he/she will cover the costs)    
  • Health Insurance
  • Copy of the passport (A copy of the first page of your passport with the picture and with names in Latin letters, date and place of birth) and validity (expiry date) of the passport no longer than 2 years from the moment of application.  
  • Warranty of residence (this is an agreement with the applicant and the residence where he/she will be staying). Please be informed that the University offers the possibility to stay in our dormitory. For further information please check the official web site www.fon.edu.mk or contact the Enrolment Office.

*Then the prepared documentation should be submitted to the Diplomatic- consular office of RM that is easier for you to approach.

*Please be informed that the latest deadline for submission of the documents for recognition is 15th of August latest.
