JOINT/DUAL DEGREE COOPERATION (bachelor’s, master’s and PhD studies) 2023/2024

Our activities have allowed us to reach 3.5 % international students of enrolled students at the University from Western Balkan, neighboring EU countries, Asia and Africa who come to study full degrees across the range of programs offered. In the past years we carried out an initiative to widen the range of our offers in higher education. In this framework, AUE FON has offers the dual degrees with our partners.

JOINT DEGREE - CIFE, Nice, France
American University - FON and the Centre International de Formation Européenne – CIFE have introduced a joint degree programme in Advanced European Union Integration Studies. CIFE is the oldest euro-federalist institute in Europe, formed in 1954 in Nice, and one of the six institutions which benefit from the Jean Monnet Programme "Support for specified institutions pursuing an aim of European interest" of the European Commision. President of CIFE is the former President of the European Council of the EU, Mr. Herman Van Rompuy. Previously, the President of CIFE was the former European Commision President, Mr. Jean-Claude Juncker.  
The aim of the joint degree is to provide skills for the understanding of the institutional, legal-political and economic framework of the EU, including the essential aspects of the Western Balkans EU integration. Professional skills and competencies for working with and for the EU, such as negotiation, analytical and project management skills will be underlined. Shortly, the programme is targeted at students and professionals who have completed their studies in humanities, social sciences and law and are interested in pursuing a degree in Advanced EU Integration Studies. Courses are taught in english language and by the best european and local experts in the field.
Successful completion of the study programmes leads to a joint degree issued by AUE - FON and CIFE.
  • The academic degree (title) obtained upon successful completion of the one - year study programme of 60 ECTS and 300 ECTS including first and second cycle of studies is Master in Advanced European Union Integration Studies.
Requirements for Applicants:
  • Candidates who completed four-year undergraduate studies or undergraduate + postgraduate studies - with a total of 240 ECTS in a relevant area of study
  • Additional admission requirements shall apply to candidates with previous education in areas not closely related to the above study programme.

DUAL DEGREE - Mittweida – University of Applied Sciences, Mittweida, Germany

The American University of Europe (FON) sets world standards and conditions for the academic development of each individual and allows students to develop their capacities for creative and autonomous thinking, but above all, to acquire skills necessary for the professions of the future.
Considering that education opens wide opportunities for a successful career, our university, as a result of cooperation with Mittweida State University of Applied Sciences from Germany (Mittweida University of Applied Sciences), allows students to acquire double degrees.
All current and future students, as well as alumni of AUE - FON who are enrolled in the Faculty of Economics and study or have studied "Business Management", "Marketing and "Finance", can apply for a double degree at the State University of Applied Sciences from Mittweida and that for:
Undergraduate studies in the field of business management (industrial management).
This means that, in addition to the diploma from AUE-FFON, our students can also receive a German diploma for the first and second cycles of studies. To obtain a double degree, you need to pass all the exams of the German language program as well as additional exams of the Mittweida University of Applied Sciences program.
During your education and acquisition of double degrees, you have the opportunity to be educated by quality academic staff from Macedonia and Germany, practice in German industru,  and to acquire internationally recognized degrees that will guarantee you secure employment, not only here or in Germany but also more widely around the world.
Simply put, the double degree program offers all students the opportunity to develop a broad and international perspective, gain specialized knowledge, and deepen their horizons with intercultural experience and language training. The program aims to form individuals who can act successfully in the global labor market.
To study the double degree program at the Mittweida University of Applied Sciences in Germany, students will need to demonstrate knowledge of the German language at the B2 level.

DUAL DEGREE - VUZF University, Sofia, Bulgaria

Master's studies at VUZF:
  • NEW: "FINTECH", finance, and digital innovation (in partnership with the Bulgarian Fintech Association);
  • NEW: green economy and sustainable development;
  • Insurance business and risk management;
  • Finances;
  • Financial management and marketing;
  • Accounting, auditing, and corporate analysis;
  • Human resource management and leadership behavior;
  • Business software and ERP platforms (in partnership with ERP Academy);
  • Digital marketing and online analytics;
  • Bank management and investment activity (in partnership with Fibank);
  • Business management and marketing (NMK)
In addition to the possibility of obtaining double degrees, the teaching staff from the American University of Europe (FON) has the opportunity to mentor doctoral studies at VUZF University in the field of economics in two programs: finance, insurance, and social insurance, as well as accounting, controlling, and analysis. With the established cooperation, our students have access to quality education according to international standards, performed by top European and domestic experts.
Students from AUE-FON acquire an additional diploma by taking differential courses. It opens up new perspectives for professional and career development in Europe and beyond, as well as the acquisition of a diploma that is recognized and valid in EU member states.
