REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR ENROLLMENT AT THE AMERICAN UNIVERSITY OF EUROPE – FON

First Cycle of Studies

Candidates eligible for enrollment in the first year of the first cycle of studies must have completed four years of secondary education and passed the state or international matriculation exam. Additionally, candidates who completed secondary education before the 2007/2008 academic year without taking the state matriculation exam, as well as those who completed secondary education in the 2019/2020 academic year and did not take the state matriculation exam due to the COVID pandemic, are also eligible for enrollment.

Required Documents:

  • Transcripts or certificates from all four years of secondary education
  • Diploma of completed secondary education with a passed state or international matriculation exam
  • Birth certificate
  • Certificate/Decision of citizenship
  • Proof of payment for the first tuition installment
  • Two photographs
  • Proof of payment of a total of 1,500 MKD for the issuance of an index, student ID, and student organization fee (a one-time payment for the entire first cycle of studies)

Foreign citizens can enroll under the same conditions. Those enrolling for the first time in studies conducted in Macedonian, Albanian, or English must provide a language proficiency certificate at a minimum B2 level. If they do not have such a certificate, they can enroll only in the Language and Academic Preparation Program or take the language proficiency exam at AUE – FON.

Second Cycle of Studies (4th and 5th Year)

Required Documents for Application and Enrollment:

  • Application form
  • Diploma/Certificate of completion of the first cycle of studies
  • Diploma supplement
  • Birth certificate
  • Certificate/Decision of citizenship
  • Proof of payment for the first installment of the annual tuition fee
  • Two photographs
  • Proof of payment of a total of 1,500 MKD for the issuance of an index, student ID, and student organization fee (a one-time payment)

Candidates applying for the Design and Multimedia program must also submit a portfolio along with the listed documents.

Candidates who obtained their previous education abroad must provide a decision from the Ministry of Education and Science for the recognition of their foreign diploma (nostrification).

Foreign citizens enroll under the same conditions. Those enrolling for the first time must also submit a certificate of Macedonian language proficiency at a B2 level. Foreign candidates enrolling in English-language programs must provide an internationally recognized English language proficiency certificate at a B2 level. If they do not possess such a certificate, they can enroll only in the Language and Academic Preparation Program and/or take the language proficiency exam at AUE – FON.

All documents must be submitted in original form from Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 15:00 at the premises of the American University of Europe – FON.
