Short Narrative Bio

Nikola Eftimov graduated in 1993 from the Faculty of Fine Arts (Graphics and Fashion Design) at the "Ss. Cyril and Methodius" University in Skopje, in the class of Prof. Kostadin Tanchev. Nikola Eftimov earned a master's degree in Fashion Design (Fashion as Art, mentor Prof. Elena Rossoni, later director of the "National Pinacoteca of Bologna") at "Accademia Italiana" in Florence, Italy, in 1998.

His decades-long experience includes work as a designer in the fashion industry, design studios, design platforms, and international fashion forecasting services both domestically and abroad; graphic designer in advertising companies and marketing departments of companies; visual artist; costume designer for theatrical performances, musical-theatrical performances, ballet performances, etc.; head of his own fashion design company and retail outlet, and designer of signature collections; lecturer and director of teaching at "Accademia Italiana Skopje"; visiting professor at the Faculty of Art and Design at the "First Private University – European University – Republic of Macedonia (EURM)" in Skopje; at the Faculty of Multimedia and Design within the "American University of Europe – FON" in Skopje, 2017–2018; and lecturer in numerous non-formal education programs in cooperation with state and private institutions in the field of culture and higher education institutions. He has also engaged in teaching activities abroad. He was employed as a lecturer at the International Design Institute "Chanapatana–Accademia Italiana" in Bangkok, and as a visiting professor at "Accademia Italiana Thailand" in Bangkok, Kingdom of Thailand.

Nikola Eftimov is the recipient of prestigious awards for fashion design, drawing, and illustration at the national and international level.

He is an associate professor at the Faculty of Design and Multimedia.
