Constitutional Democracy and Human Rights: Lecture by Judge Kadriu

At the Faculty of Law and Political Science, a clinical lecture was held by Constitutional Court Judge, Prof. Dr. Osman Kadriu. The students had an exceptional opportunity to become acquainted with the aspects of human rights protection in proceedings before the Constitutional Court. Through the clinical lecture, the esteemed Constitutional Court Judge emphasized the key role of the Constitutional Court in the political systems of states, as well as its importance as a crucial element of constitutionalism, which serves as a counterbalance (limitation) to parliamentary supremacy and the executive branch in the exercise of state power, and for establishing a system of “constitutional democracy” based on the supremacy of the Constitution.
